The Sahara Forest Project (SFP) concept is a new environmental solution to create re-vegetation and green jobs through profitable production of food, water, clean electricity and biomass in desert areas. With world leading competence in fields ranging from natural and social sciences to business, engineering, architecture and growing techniques, The Sahara Forest Project has a proven track record of creating groundbreaking ideas and turning them into reality on the ground. Our first facility is operational in Qatar. We now have an open position as Financial Manager at The Sahara Forest Project.

We seek a highly skilled and motivated person for the position as Financial Manager to realize a triple bottom-line: good for the environment, good for social development and good for business. The position will have the following main responsibilities:

• Responsible for development of the SFP Business plan
• Assist SFP CEO and MD in assessing business opportunities
• Develop and implement framework for commercial cooperation
• Responsible for developing contractual relationships for SFP AS
• Financial controller for pilot project in Qatar

You have relevant background in finance and experience in developing business plans combined with a passion for innovation. You have a strong working capacity and enjoy working in a dynamic international environment. Some travel is expected. We think you are at a stage in your career where you are looking to combine your commercial experience with something truly meaningful.  We offer the opportunity to take part in a unique project in an exciting working environment at Grünerløkka in Oslo.
